Dr. Shay Pintov M.D.
In 1991 he established the first clinic for CAM at a university hospital - Asaf Harofe. The goal was to combining CAM medicine, and conventional medicine. Dr Pintov was the CEO of the clinic for 16 years.The clinic was one of the first in the world to combining complimentary medicine into the hospital wards from pediatric, orthopedic, oncology and rheumatology and lately in the E.R.
In 2007 Dr Pintov left his post as CEO, so he could devote his time and efforts to research and educational in the field of CAM. During this period Dr Pintov was involved in number of clinical researches in CAM medicine. He is also involved in IPROS the research network on pediatric in Israel. IPROS members have published a number of researches in the filed of CAM. In addition since 2005 he is a member of a founding group of the research network in CAM. Today Dr Pintov is leading the founding of the new academic complimentary medicine department in the Academic College of Management .The department will start operating in October 2008 after more than 10 years of preparation. The department will educate therapists in Chinese medicine, naturopathy and homeopathy. The cross will enable them to work as an Integrative therapists with a clinical training and research orientation.
